I am a mixed media artist and a teacher, living in Lancashire, England. I create colourful paintingsto inspire and uplift people and my mission is to promote the enjoyment of art and creative practices through courses and workshops.
My work is strongly influenced by the beauty of nature and ideas from my childhood from mystery, make believe and fairy tales.
In my original paintings I use a laser cutter to create the shapes, texture and colour. I also use found objects such as collage, jewellery, broken pottery, sea glass and build up areas with sparkle and glitter. The paintings are finished with a layer of UV resin giving a high gloss finish, depth and richness to the colours and serves to protect the finished work.
I aim to extend the availability of my artwork through products that are based on my art and have been made from upcycled material, sourced from the offcuts of other processes.
